SUNDAY NIGHT SLIDES
Here we are, the first issue.
Before we begin, if you haven't signed up directly, hopefully this comes as a welcomed surprise (sorry for breaching data privacy but I wasn't too keen on talking to myself and you're a dear friend).
There's only 15 of us so far. So if you enjoy the following then please share it with someone who will too. Quality over quantity, of course, but we're on a mission and need your support along the way.
"to raise our voice loud enough so that we all have the confidence to reach out when we’re not feeling right and get the right support when we do"
Thank you.
YOUR WEEKLY DOSE OF ADVENTURE
🌍 In amongst the madness, seek solace in this digest that'll deliver a heavy dose of adventure through photos, videos, listens and reads circling our common connection: Mother Nature.
🖤 As some of you already know, especially if you've read or been through our journey, there's a higher purpose to this. Josh stays with us in all we do, he's why we're here today.
📝 All of the content published on nightslides.com is original and carefully curated for you. So if you have any suggestions about who or what should feature, then hit reply and let us know.

RECOMMENDED LISTENING
🎙️ The Dirtbag Diaries podcast focuses on outdoor storytelling that spans most of the recreational world, from paddling and backpacking to road trips and skiing. Fitz Cahall narrates stories from famous athletes, including climbing and BASE jumping legend Steph Davis, but amateur enthusiasts get plenty of air time too.
🎧 Tame Impala: The Slow Rush has been an instant classic since the release of their fourth studio album last month, and the band's first record since 2015. A mixture of sounds, 'Glimmer' highlights Kevin Parker's devotion to the Balearic sounds of classic Chicago house and Detroit techno music, saying:
"It's the feeling that time has passed and you didn’t even realize it — that’s the driving emotion of this record"
📖 Microadventures: Local Discoveries for Great Escapes is an audiobook from seasoned adventurer Alastair Humphries. Through his own mini-expeditions in environments like forests, mountains, rivers and oceans. Al puts forth a convincing case that time and money aren't good enough excuses for adventure-less living.
WORTH WATCHING
What’s particularly poignant about Picture’s message in SHELTER is, with an element of gratitude, to reconnect with what nature has to offer closer to home. Or if travel is a must, to choose the lowest carbon emitting transport as possible. We often take for granted what’s on our doorstep and choose to satiate our innate desire to discover new places, ride new runs, and determine our wealth by distance travelled.
