SUNDAY NIGHT SLIDES
Thanks for your honest reflections last week.
Over the next three months, for a nightsides.com research project, I'll be consciously aligning my energy to the orbit of the moon, to explore whether we're guided by external regulation, much like we're guided by internal (biological) regulation.
If you think of the moon's orbit like taking a single breath, the synchronicities start to become a little clearer:
As you begin to breathe, the new moon begins.
As you inhale oxygen, the moon starts to illuminate.
At the height of your breath, your body is full of energy.
At the height of its orbit, the moon is full of light.
As you exhale carbon dioxide, the moon starts to darken.
At full exhale, your body is energyless and initiates a breath.
At full orbit, the moon is dark and prepares for a new cycle.
I've also been learning about the ancient Hawaiian lunar calendar, Kaulana Mahina, from friends on the Big Island. By the time you were 6 years old, you'd know and understand all 30 phases of the Hawaiian moon as it affects their community deeply; through farming, fishing, navigating, healing and many other practices.
In their words, observing the phases of the moon:
"Helps us establish a deep-rooted relationship to our environment that's connected to old wisdom"
But that's enough for now! Enjoy the slides.

FINAL THOUGHTS 💭
At a time of global despair and uncertainty, I implore you to read Jane’s poignant memoirs about her spiritual epiphany. Follow her journey as a loose-faith Christian growing up in Bournemouth, through periods of personal sorrow and resultant exploration into karma and reincarnation from Buddhist teaching, to an ultimately wise philosophy through a lifelong service to humanity.
