SUNDAY NIGHT SLIDES
Glad to hear the breathing techniques have been useful. Do use them daily as preventative practice rather than just reactive.
Quick question this week...
When was the last time you walked barefoot in the woods?
Rather strange one –granted– but it's been inspired by a body of research that I've stumbled upon, revealing:
"Direct human body contact with the natural surface of the Earth (forming an electrically conductive connection) produces intriguing effects on physical health."
There hasn't been a huge amount of research done into this type of physical treatment but from the study, it's certainly telling. Among the photographic evidence, shows the accelerated improvement of an 8 month old open wound on an 84-year-old diabetic woman in less than a month of earthing treatment.
Much like measuring the energy of a human is done with an electrocardiogram (ECG test that records electrical activity of the heart). In farming, the energy of plants in a crop field is determined by measuring the soil's electrical conductivity too.
In order to produce healthy and long-lasting crops, the energy coming from the electrical conductivity of the soil must derive from 'good' sources like clean, balanced nutrients. Sources of energy derived from synthetic fertilizers are known as 'bad' sources that produce unhealthy, low-energy and faster-decomposing crops.
That being said, plant life cycles are simplified into two stages: growth and decomposition. With the growth stage needing different energy requirements than the decomposition stage (source).
Sound familiar?
In that our energy requirement, too, is different throughout a lunar cycle. Managing up to the full moon (waxing stage) and then down through the darker moon (waning stage).
The very fabric of our own body, in a fitting alignment of rhythm and connection, appears to serve as a primary antioxidant defence, as the research report concludes:
"[the body] is a system requiring regular recharging by electrically conductive contact with the Earth’s surface – the battery for all planetary life – to be optimally effective."
And there you have it.

6 Scenic Waterfalls To Visit Across Great Britain — nightslides.com
Scenic is the operative word here. Yes, the 'waterfalls' in Great Britain aren't as spectacular as the Angel, Victoria or Niagara Falls, but there's a quaint sense of Britishness to them and we love them for it.

🎙️ Changes with Annie Mac — open.spotify.com
Each guest talks through the biggest changes they have overcome in childhood and adulthood, and how they affected change. How we confront it, react to it and how we try to activate change has never been more important than in this moment. Golden.

Straight up owning their own genre; the latest record from Lettuce is quite frankly an amalgamation of intergalactic brassey jazz and percolating hip-hop instrumentals – topped with a sprinkling of psychedelia. This one's for you, Smithy.

WORTH WATCHING
Premiering in a matter of hours, this brand new short film from Patagonia features Kimi Werner, as she's expecting her first child, exploring how the haenyeo represent feminine strength and resilience as a self sufficient sisterhood of diving mothers and grandmothers. As Kimi transitions from a solo underwater adventurist to a mother cultivating a family, she longs to learn from the haenyeo elders - many of which are well into their 70’s and continue to dive. Let the badass ensue!
