SUNDAY NIGHT SLIDES
The shooting stars didn't disappoint π
Did you stay up and catch them?
A few of us headed out to the lowest light-polluted spot we could find nearby (via the Night Blight app) deep in the heart of the New Forest National Park in Hampshire.
It took around half an hour for the naked eye's dark adaptation to reach maximum and adjust to start seeing the deeper layers of stars and the movement of meteorites across the night sky.
Then before the tea could even brew, a part of the sky lit up like a scene from Back To The Future with an impressively bright light trail that vanished as soon as it appeared. Awesome to witness!

There's a new moon arriving this coming week, so now's the time for reflection of the past month's activity and to begin planning for your next set of commitments to action.
I'll share mine next week.

Big news!
For the past 9 months, I've been part of the team building an adaptability assessment that enables people to understand how adaptable to change they are, looking at measures like resilience, mental flexibility, emotional range, motivation style, work stress and more.
If you're interested in taking the assessment (it's a conversational chatbot that takes about 20 minutes) here's the direct link that will automatically apply 100% discount at the checkout:
Once you've taken it, you'll get instant access to your own results dashboard with a PDF download that gives you actions to improve the measures you may have scored low on. Oh, and there's a button to see how you fare up against the global average too!
Check back in with me if you end up taking it, I'd be interested to see your results (my score was 590/900) and, of course, happy to walk through them with you and put together an action plan.

RECOMMENDED LISTENING
ποΈ Kerry Daynes on The Kempcast β open.spotify.com
Talking about her new book, The Dark Side of the Mind, forensic psychologist Kerry Daynes has spent 20 years working with the police, prison service and secure hospitals with an infamous client roster of murderers, psychopaths and sex offenders. Fascinatingly disturbing!

NEW: Feat. Kae Tempest, words from the man himself, Kae is one of the most profound and poetic voices in the UK music scene to me and I knew theyβd be able to articulate something about the weight and pressure of time in words that I could only hint at with my synthesisers. Heavy!
π Ursa Major by Marsicans β open.spotify.com
"42 minutes of pummelling riffs and melodies" β Clash. Likened to a technicolour blend of the Foals, TDCC and Circa Waves, here's a brand new and critically acclaimed album, aptly named after the largest northern constellation in the night sky, from the rocking West Yorkshire dales. Epic!
NEW: A Celebration Of Endings by Biffy Clyro β open.spotify.com
"The shot in the arm we all need" β The Times (ain't that the fucken truth).
WORTH WATCHING
2 and a half minutes of the most epic First Person View drone footage by pilot and adventure travel photographer, Alex Meliss. Shot around the Austrian mountains, mainly Tyrol, featuring mountain biking, skiing and of course, relaxing by the pool after a hard day's hiking.
